How to Care for Your Plants Needs

Many people while looking for plants or flowers, they try and pick out the best looking one out of the group. Just because you got the best looking plant or flower out of the group does not mean that its going to stay like that forever. Plants need care, and a lot of it, and that care comes with light. How do you know your plant is not getting enough light? Check your plant for some of these conditions: no blooms, small leaves, rotten roots, leaf loss, weak or long stretched out leaves, or if your plant is growing towards the light.

If your plant is not blooming then the problem might be that it needs more light for a longer period of time. Plants usually need light not to just flower, but to grow also. You can tell by looking at your plant, if your plant has nice hunter green green lush foliage and gives a flower not and then, or even no flowers at all, then your plant is telling you that its not getting enough light.

Remember when you picked out your plant from the nursery and it had these wonderful big leaves and now the new leaves on your plant are smaller. If you have a flowering plant its probably because the flowers are taking so much energy out of the plant so that your plant can not produce bigger leaves as it used to before. If you want the larger leaves again then it would be best if you can put your plant into the light some more so that it can produce more food from the light and that way you can get bigger leaves.

Does your plant have rotten roots or stem? Well, if you have a plant that does not require a lot of light then it would also mean that your plant does not need as much water as a high light plant would. Try to reduce the water for your plant a little because it just might be that you're drowning the roots of your plant because it can not absorb that much water within a short amount of time.

If you own a Ficus then you should be ready to experience some leaf loss on your plant. This normally happens with the older leaves. Most plants need a certain amount of light, and if they do not get the amount of light they need then the leaves start to drop.

Have you ever noticed that your light sometimes bends towards the sun on a sunny day? Well, when you notice that it might be best if you try and rotate your plant from one location to the next so that it could have the sun all around it. That way you will have a well rounded plant instead of a flat plant. So remember to always keep an eye out for your plants in your house, try not to over water them, or leave them out under the sun too much if you want a healthy looking plant in your house.
